About

Time’s Ripple publishes practical aquarium guides, with a focus on betta fish and planted tanks, alongside a smaller collection of essays on philosophy and modern work.

What you will find here

Aquarium guides. Step-by-step guides for setting up or improving a home aquarium: choosing a betta tank, sizing a heater, picking a light for live plants, and deciding whether a planted tank needs CO2. Each guide explains the numbers behind the decision (gallons, watts, temperature, light output) so you can make the call for your own tank. Start with the aquarium guides.

Essays. Longer pieces on Stoic philosophy, AI and the changing nature of work, for readers who like to slow down and think. Browse Practical Philosophy or AI & Digital Storytelling.

How the aquarium guides are made

  • Guides are written by M. Caelestis, the pen name of the editor of Time’s Ripple.
  • They are researched from manufacturers’ product pages, manuals and store policies, widely used fish-care guidelines, and public owner reviews.
  • Prices, sizes, specifications and warranty terms are checked against those sources on the date given in each article. Shops change these details, so check the seller’s page before you buy.
  • Products are not hands-on tested unless an article clearly says so. We do not invent experiences, test results or customer testimonials.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to assist with research, structure, and drafting. Every article is then reviewed by a human editor, rewritten where needed, and checked against the sources it cites before it is published. The opinions and editorial decisions are human.

How the site earns money

Some guides contain affiliate links. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a commission from the seller, at no extra cost to you. Articles with affiliate links say so near the top of the page.

Commissions do not decide what we write about or how we describe a product. Brands do not pay for placement and do not approve articles before they are published. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure.

Who’s behind this

Time’s Ripple is an independent publication run by one editor, without outside investors. Its only aim is to publish guides and essays that are useful and worth your time.
